Orofacial Motricity

The area...
"Orofacial Motricity is the field of Speech-Language Pathology focused on the study, research, prevention, assessment, diagnosis, development, qualification, improvement and rehabilitation of congenital or acquired disorders of the orofacial and cervical myofunctional system as well as its functions such as suction, chewing, swallowing, breathing and speech articulation from pregnancy to aging" (CFFa Resolution No. 320, 2006).
That is, in this specialty the speech therapist enables/rehabilitates functions related to breathing, sucking, chewing, swallowing, facial expression and speech articulation, providing better living and communication conditions.
